About Outback Experience
Outback Experience is based on “Karma”, a 170 acre farm with additional lease country 17 km from Kingaroy, South East Queensland, Australia. We are establishing a cell-grazing operation for store cattle and sheep and share our property with a diverse range of native animals, including wallabies, eastern grey kangaroos, echidnas, snakes, goannas, possums, sugar gliders and more than 60 species of birds. Our resident farm animals include 2 horses, 1 dog, sheep, cattle and chooks.
Here at Outback Experience, our philosophy is that we strive to live and farm, based on the use of organics and recycling and hope to leave a “carbon footprint” as small as possible. Our aim is to give visitors the real “Aussie” bush feeling with campfire, camp oven cooking, BBQ, star gazing, native bush noises, etc. We are not connected to the power grid or town water and rely on solar electricity and rain water for all our electricity and water requirements.

Our Trainers

Larry Ford is our main trainer at Outback Experience and has many years experience working and living in remote location across Australia. He believes he has been fortunate due to his opportunity to work and live with many different remote aboriginal community groups, learning valuable knowledge and experience. His professional background includes creating sustainable agriculture practices and improving water quality for QLD and WA government agencies, coordinating and leading tour guides through the outback, working and managing remote stations. Larry's practical and caring approach to life, animals and neighbours makes it an absolute pleasure to work alongside Larry, listening to his wealth of knowledge and inspirational stories.
